Australia being ripped a new one here.

I didn't think it possible, but Australia are making England's last tour out there look like an amazing success.

Pakistan's 3,4,5,6,7 batting averages in this series read 97.33, 156, 135.5, 55, 147.

Embarasing.

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
Cricinfo & bbc now saying 56 balls though the cricinfo scorecard showing 57 for Misbah.
This confusion has obviously blighted the whole match & it should be called off

Wouldn't be surprised if Aust last about 57 balls in this innings.
Hopefully Lehmann will be as blunt as he was after the first Test about any excuses.
Excellent innings by Mitchell Marsh has been the only redeeming feature at all here. Very talented WA boy & has gone from strength to strength in the last 12 months.

Ha ha classic Sven, talking about AUS vs PAK and he changes the subject to the Ashes.

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
Aust have fallen to pieces here. Assume they will try & blame the pitch which is obviously bollocks. Embarrassing

Understood it was fastest test 50 but that his century was 57 balls.
Viv Richards was 56
57 equals Gilchrist at the WACA in 2006/7 Ashes. Was there that day when he was hitting Monty out of the ground into the next door Gloucester Park trotting track. 6 horses DEAD I believe

Ha ha , put the jinx on Smith
Out for 0 as Aust slump to 177/6

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
Smith is a good player.
And they are missing the intelligent bowling of Harris & Watson on these sort of pitches. Though to be honest they need to do a lot better in terms of patience , technique & intelligence on slow wickets as they will otherwise continue to have them served up as has been the case in Sri Lanka, West Indies , India & England in recent tours.
Big summer coming up as it should be used to introduce some new players.

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
Australia are a 2 man band at present: Warner and Johnson. A few decent players around them (Haddin, Clarke and Siddle), but no other worldies.

Neutralise/Destabilise these 2 and you smash them to pieces. Allow these 2 to get on top of you and you perish.

Basically, play Australia on a slow pitch (neutralising an on form Johnson and bogging down Warner) and you beat them with absolute ease.

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
At least 3 match fixers and a chucker missing. Good riddance

Australia have been very poor with both bat & ball here but neutral soil implies independent pitch preparation.
That said the pitches haven't been that bad compared to India.
Might not be a bad thing as Australia do need to move this team on as parts are creaking & a 5-0 plus a win in S Africa can give a false impression of the need to change.

Australia 22/1

Stumps Day 2
I'm guessing Adelaide 2006/7 might be too much to hope for

Re: Kevin Pietersen book
Saw he turned 37 the other day and has batted for almost a complete day here .... 200 no now

The only positive is it might be an eyeopener about patience and technique for some.
Though given Aust have picked Glenn Maxwell to bat 3 I'm not sure they are paying attention
